Conversations with my mother, in the middle of the workplace

  • Mum: She's having an Endoscopy... you know which one that is?
  • CCake: Up the butt?
  • Mum: Yeah, Butt-Periscope
  • - Actually sorryyy to be a downer but, and endoscopy is down the throat, and a colonoscopy is a butt-periscope.
  • -- Well, to be specific, a Colonoscopy is a type of Endoscopy. Endoscopy just mean sticking an endoscope inside the body. A Colonoscopy refers to an endoscopy that specifically targets the colon/intestine. You can also have an endoscopy down through the throat, through the ear or up the urinary tract for example.
